Today, USA Basketball unveiled a pool of 41 athletes vying for the men’s national team in 2024. The athletes were chosen by Grant Hill, managing director of the USA Basketball Men’s National Team. Their roster is subject to change. A subsequent date will mark the announcement of the twelve-person 2024 USA Men’s National Team, which will represent the United States at the 2024 Olympic Summer Games in Paris.

Steve Kerr (Golden State Warriors) will serve as the head coach of the 2024 USA Men’s National Team. Mark Few (Gonzaga University), Tyronn Lue (L.A. Clippers), and Erik Spoelstra (Miami Heat) will provide assistance to Kerr. The quartet supervised the 2023 USA Basketball Men’s National Team as they finished in fourth place at the 2023 FIBA Men’s World Cup in Manila last summer. Kerr is a gold medalist at the 2020 Summer Olympics after serving as Gregg Popovich’s assistant coach in Tokyo.
Additionally, USA Basketball declared that as part of the USA Basketball Showcase, the 2024 USA Men’s National Team will host Canada at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The exhibition competition will air live on FS1 on July 10 at 7:30 p.m. PT/10:30 p.m. ET.
The USA Basketball National Teams utilize the USA Basketball Showcase, an assortment of contests, to prepare for significant competitions such as the FIBA World Cup and the Olympic Summer Games.
After their time in Las Vegas concludes, the United States will commence an international training window that will culminate in exhibition matches at the O2 Arena in London against the national teams of South Sudan on July 20 and Germany on July 22.

At the 2023 FIBA World Cup in September, the United States formally qualified as one of the top two countries from the FIBA Americas zone for the 2024 Olympics. The American men will vie for their seventeenth Olympic gold medal in total and fifth consecutively.
Four teams will represent the United States of America in basketball at the 2024 Olympic Summer Games, including three-by-three men and women and five-on-five men and women. Reigning Olympic champions in 5×5 men and women, as well as 3×3 women, the United States is preparing to debut 3×3 men at the Olympics next summer.
