‘It’s a momentous occasion for us and our community, whose passion for watches knows no bounds.’
The company, which was started in 2003, claims to have over 530,000 watches from over 3,000 dealers.
Each month, more than nine million unique people are said to visit the website.
Ronaldo is said to have bought shares in the company alongside Bernard Arnault’s family investment company, Aglae Ventures, General Atlantic, Insight Partners, and Sprints Capital.
Ronaldo, who signed a £175 million-a-year contract with Al-Nassr, is known for his collection of luxury timepieces, which is estimated to be worth £5 million, in addition to a £18 million fleet of supercars.
Ronaldo is known for his pricey taste, which includes a £1.6 million Franck Muller, Van Cleef & Arpels timepiece with 474 white diamonds and a one-of-a-kind Hublot ‘Masterpiece’ costing at least £800,000.
Ronaldo received a £92,000 luxury watch from Jacob and Co at the presentation of a new collection in May.
Ronaldo’s famed ‘Siu’ celebration is depicted on the other side of the wristwatch in a new collection reflecting the best moments from his career.
The design also included the former Manchester United player rejoicing in a No 7 shirt on the front and a large football next to it – replete with a signature and the words CR7 printed vertically in rose gold colors.
Meanwhile, during the Qatar World Cup, Ronaldo’s partner Georgina was spotted wearing a 40mm Rolex GMT-Master II set in 18k white gold with baguette cut manufactured diamonds, considered to be worth an estimated £400,000.
