In the final seconds of the game, Oklahoma City Thunder made a shot that gave them a 118-117 victory over the Denver Nuggets. In addition to dishing out 12 assists and grabbing 6 rebounds, Nikola Jokic scored 24 points. Aaron Gordon scored 16 points and pulled down 9 rebounds, while Michael Porter Jr. scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. However, OKC’s guards were pressing Jamal Murray, which resulted in an off-target shot. Additionally, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope’s absence was felt on each of the Thunder’s easy drives throughout the evening.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of Oklahoma City finished with 25 points, six rebounds, and the game-winning basket. With three and a half minutes remaining, the Nuggets led 8–8 and were unable to draw closer despite a fantastic performance from Denver’s Chet Holmgren. The atmosphere was fantastic, and both teams gave it their all. However, OKC made the plays that mattered in the end, and Denver was unable to prevent them from achieving their goals in the absence of KCP.
