One of the world’s most distinguished footballers, Lionel Messi, made a stunning transfer this year to join David Beckham’s co-owned Inter Miami CF of the Major League Soccer (MLS). Showing off his on-field prowess, he has already contributed to his new team’s success by helping them win the Leagues Cup. However, the most talked-about property at the moment is the new home of Lionel Messi and his wife, Antonela Roccuzzo.
Designer Jorge Luis Veliz recently shared photos of the couple’s futuristic concept home—worth an estimated $50 million (about Rs 413 crore)—on social media. Veliz has shared the futuristic concept of the 2022 World Cup winning footballer’s new home, a jaw-dropping mansion located on a ship-shaped island, affording the pair seclusion and exclusivity. The mansion’s three stories are a work of art in contemporary design. Here are some fresh, never-before-seen images that back up my claim.
The 36-year-old footballer reportedly declined an offer from the Saudi team Al-Hilal that would have paid him $300 million (about Rs 2500 crore) annually. Instead, Inter Miami co-owner Jorge Mas announced that he obtained a contract with an MLS franchise that will pay him between $50 and $60 million per year (about Rs 413 and 496 crore). Messi will still earn milliоns of dollars through endorsements such as his exclusive profit-sharing agreement with Adidas, even though the amount is lesser than what he was offered by Al-Hilal. According to ESPN, he will also share in the earnings from MLS fans who subscribe to Apple’s Live Pass.
Since Messi’s new deal is worth an estimated $600 million (about Rs 4,965 crore), the Argentine footballer will soon be able to afford a brand-new, custom-built mansion outfitted with every conceivable amenity. There will be a theater, game room, football field, waterslide with a spiral design, port for a yacht, parking for 20 cars, a beautifully decorated party room, three helipads, and more in his new mansion. The home also features a spectacular sweeping vista of Miami’s picturesque shoreline. Some previously unseen images of Messi’s M-shaped Miami mansion are presented here.
In 2019, Messi reportedly purchased an oceanfront condo in the Sunny Isles Beach region, as reported by Architectural Digest. The Porsche Design Tower condo is 3,555 square feet in size and features three bedrooms. Among its many cutting-edge features are a private swimming pool on a terrace, an elevator for transporting cars made of glass, and much more.
Two years after his previous purchаse, in 2021, Messi spent over $7.3 million (approximately Rs 60 crore) on a penthouse in Miami. The penthouse contains four bedrooms, a spa, a fitness and yoga studio, and a kid’s playhouse, and it’s on the ninth floor of Regalia Tower. The views of the Miami skyline are spectacular. Messi reportedly listed the home for sale just a few months after buying it, as reported by The Sun.
The World Cup champion footballer has made significant real estate investments, and he now owns multimillion-dollar homes in Ibiza, Barcelona, and Rosario (Messi’s birthplace). See all of his investments right here.
