Neymar is very close to going to the Saudi Pro League when only waiting for PSG and Al Hilal to finalize the transfer terms.
According to L’Équipe, after a period of negotiations, Neymar has agreed to join Al Hilal with a two-year contract. Initially, the dream of the Brazilian striker was to return to Barcelona. However, it seems that the huge income that Al Hilal promises to bring to Neymar has made him fall in love.
Specifically, Al Hilal agreed to spend up to 160 million euros to pay Neymar for the 2 years he played in the Saudi Pro League. This is the highest number in the top ranking in the number one tournament in Saudi Arabia, just less than big names like Ronaldo, Benzema or Kante.
Neymar’s salary at PSG is currently 56.3 million euros/year. Although that number is not equal to what Al Hilal wants to pay Neymar, it is still a very large salary. Therefore, if successfully selling the striker born in 1992, PSG will significantly reduce the salary fund.
Currently, Al Hilal is planning to spend about 80-100 million euros to convince PSG to let go. The two sides are still negotiating the terms of the transfer and have not come to an agreement. However, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, PSG and Al Hilal have reached the final stage of negotiations with certain positivity.
There was once information that Barcelona wanted to borrow Neymar for a year. But transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has insisted the Nou Camp team has no door to reach that deal.
Neymar is the record signing of PSG as well as world football in general. I remember 6 years ago, PSG spent up to 222 million euros for Neymar to break his contract with Barcelona.
Al Hilal spent up to 178 million euros to buy players in the summer transfer window of 2023. If they get Neymar for a fee of 80-100 million euros, they will become the club with the most spending in the world. Arsenal lead with a figure of 231.6 million euros.
