Some Rolls-Royce owners just can’t get enough of a stock Ghost sitting peacefully in the garage. They are constantly searching for methods to make their luxury vehicles stand out, and they will stop at nothing to achieve their goal of being different.
Some may choose for contentious tuners (we all know whose firm we’re talking about), but others take a more understated approach, emphasizing the wheels, finish, and interior upgrades where necessary.
Now for the eye-catching example shown above, which has created a unique Rolls-Royce Ghost by following this method. With one noteworthy exception—the inside has been preserved in its former splendor, having not been altered. However, the outside conveys a different message.
The Ghost’s exterior has been completely covered with a matte-black paint, which is the most noticeable modification. This audacious decision gives it a daring twist to a car created in the hallowed halls of Goodwood, making it stick out rather than blend in. It’s difficult to deny the drama and presence that the matte-black finish adds.
The massive multi-spoke aftermarket alloy wheels with Rolls-Royce center caps further accentuate its distinctive look. These wheels add a unique touch and support the Ghost’s brash design.
Given the numerous blacked-out components, it’s plausible that this specific Ghost is the Black Badge version. If true, it would gain from a slightly more powerful 6.75-liter V12 engine that produces 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque and 592 horsepower (600 PS / 441 kW). By comparison, the basic Ghost produces 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque and 563 horsepower (571 PS / 420 kW).
One-tenth of a second faster than the normal model, the Black Badge edition reaches the 0-62 mph (0-100 kph) sprint in just 4.7 seconds. Both models have a maximum speed of 155 mph (250 kph).
Although the external changes are clearly visible, no information about any performance enhancements under the engine has been released. The team behind this unusual endeavor, AG Luxury Wheels, hasn’t yet released any further information.
Thus, we may presume that the mechanical components stay the same, concentrating only on designing a visually unique and captivating Rolls-Royce Ghost.
