PSG seem ready for a life without Mbappe when they have a plan to replace him with a quality name.
On July 5, PSG officially issued an ultimatum to Mbappe asking him to completely solve the future problem. Accordingly, president Nasser Al-Khelaifi expressed disappointment because the 24-year-old striker broke the “oral agreement” on extending the contract until 2025 and a free departure is impossible.
According to RMC Sport, PSG gave Mbappe a choice of signing an extra year contract to stay at the club or being sold this summer. If he wants to be transferred, the request will be approved immediately.

The Ligue 1 champions will want to collect 200 million euros from the sale of Mbappe. They believe that this number is enough to make up for the damage he left at the club when he chose to leave.
And just in case, PSG also has a plan to replace the French superstar. The name targeted is Mbappe’s best friend, fellow countryman, Ousmane Dembele.
The Frenchman is said to have a €50 million release clause. New PSG coach Luis Enrique is very fond of Dembele and the club is ready to activate the clause to bring him in to replace Mbappe.

In fact, since last year, PSG sporting director Luis Campos has also been watching Dembele. However, at that time, he had just re-signed with Barca and coach Xavi did not intend to let go. The Spanish strategist rated this winger who can play well with both legs as “the best in the world” in his position.
The fact that PSG could not bring back his close friend was also a reason for Mbappe’s disappointment, leading to the decision to leave for free next year. Now when the captain of France is preparing to leave, the club wants to bring in Dembele to replace him.
Similar to Mbappe, Dembele also has only 1 year left on his contract and Barca are still hoping to extend the contract with number 7 as soon as possible. Last season, the France international made 25 appearances in La Liga despite frequent injuries. He scored 5 goals and provided 7 assists for the Catalan team.
