An agent has claimed Newcastle are one of only three clubs capable of signing Kylian Mbappe.
The French superstar looks set to leave PSG as he enters the final year of his current contract, believed to be worth around £893,000-a-week. Meanwhile, Mbappe admits he does not want to renew his contract and the French champions will not allow him to leave for free.
So the French club face an attempt to sell the 2018 World Cup winner, who could cost up to £170M. According to his agent Bruno Satin, only the richest clubs in Europe can buy Mbappe.
Satin told L’Equipe: “It’s hard to put a price on Mbappe. An ordinary club, i.e. not a state club, would not, in my opinion, pay £170m today. In my opinion, only Manchester City, Newcastle and Real Madrid can pay today.”

Real Madrid in 2021 have turned down a £170m offer for Mbappe, who again has less than a year left on his contract. The striker eventually agreed new terms with PSG but just two years later he was ready to leave again.
It puts Real in a difficult position to get the star they want, teams like Liverpool and Manchester United have also been contacted about buying Onana.
So is Arsenal, the team that the Independent says Mbappe would actually support if the player moves to the Premier League. It is thought the striker enjoys development under Mikel Arteta and will enjoy the challenge of bringing titles to the club.
