PSG has removed striker Kylian Mbappe from the list of Japan tour and once again rumors about the departure of the French star this summer began to surface.
Another turning point in Kylian Mbappe’s summer drama took place on Friday, with PSG confirming that the French striker will not be traveling with the team on their pre-season tour to Japan.
The Ligue 1 champions have made it clear that Mbappe will only join PSG after extending his contract, as rumors of him reaching a personal agreement with Real Madrid surfaced.
Mbappe’s aim is to fulfill the last year of his remaining contract with PSG and will leave for free next summer. However, PSG have remained steadfast in their position and made it clear, as president Al Khelaïfi has stated: “Nobody is above the club”.
Mbappe, who scored in a friendly against Le Havre recently, may have played his last minutes in a PSG shirt. L’Équipe reports that if the striker does not agree to an extension, PSG can knock him out this season. Currently, PSG’s first measure is to let Mbappe stay in Paris, in the context of the whole team going to Japan to tour.
This information was also shared by reputable journalist Loic Tanzi on his personal twitter: “Kylian Mbappe will not attend the Asia tour with the whole PSG team. Because the French team thinks that this player has a tacit agreement with Real Madrid. This could be a warning for Mbappe, if he does not want to renew his contract with PSG.”
In the Japan tour, PSG will meet Al-Nassr (July 25), Cerezo Osaka (July 28), Inter Milan (August 1) and Jeonbuk Motors (August 3).
