Lionel Messi has expressed his desire to expand his family with his beautiful spouse, Antonella. The football star shared that he is hoping for another child, and even teased the possibility of having a baby girl in the future.
Lionel Messi, the renowned soccer player, has hinted that he and his wife, Antonela Roccuzzo, may have plans of having another child. Messi, who is well known for his love for family, already has three sons with Antonela, Thiago, Mateo, and Ciro, aged 10, 7, and 5, respectively. Even though the family has been enjoying their time in the USA since Lionel joined David Beckham’s Inter Miami, they could soon be welcoming a new member to the famous Messi clan. During an interview on OLGA, Argentinian comedian Migue Granados asked Lionel if he and Antonela have any plans of expanding their family, to which the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner did not dismiss the possibility.
Messi recently allowed Granados to film a segment in his Miami home where he hinted at the arrival of a baby girl, although he admitted that they were not actively trying. The soccer star’s eldest son, Thiago, has already shown an interest in following in his father’s footsteps, having joined Inter Miami’s academy in August. According to Messi, all three of his sons have distinct personalities, with Thiago being more introverted and Mateo being outgoing and sociable. As for his youngest son Ciro, Messi said that he is still developing his own unique character.
In a lighthearted tone, Messi joked about his youngest son being “terrible” and not yet defined at only five years old. He also explained that Mateo is talkative, while Ciro is more reserved and doesn’t share much about himself. Thiago, on the other hand, is sensitive and close to his mother Antonela, who Messi praises as a dedicated mother to their three children. The couple first met in their hometown when Messi was just five years old, and their relationship blossomed over the years, leading to the public announcement of their relationship in 2008. They welcomed their three sons into the world in 2012, 2015, and 2018. Even though Messi is often away due to his profession, he acknowledges that Antonela is always there for their children.
In 2017, the couple got married in a grand ceremony at a fancy hotel in Rosario. She is a great supporter of her husband and can often be seen cheering him on from the sidelines during his games. After moving to South Florida, they have been enjoying the local social scene by dining out with famous personalities like David and Victoria Beckham, as well as close friends like Messi’s teammate Sergio Busquets and his partner Elena Galera. The family recently purchased a luxurious new property in Fort Lauderdale worth $10.75 million, which boasts 10 bedrooms, a spa room, two boat docks, and a swimming pool.
Ever since joining Inter Miami earlier this year, the Argentina superstar has been on the lookout for new properties to add to his portfolio. He already owns a luxurious $9 million apartment in Miami and two condos in Sunny Isles Beach, but recently he was spotted house hunting with his family in the Boca Raton area. However, Messi ultimately decided to purchase a new property in Bay Colony, a gated community located just north of Fort Lauderdale. The stunning 10,500 square-foot house is situated just off the beachfront and is only a short 15-minute drive from Miami’s DRV PNK Stadium and training base. Interestingly, Messi’s teammate Sergio Busquets also recently purchased a waterfront home in Sea Ranch Lakes for approximately $9 million.
