Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano said Neymar and Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal club are close to an agreement to bring the Brazilian star to the Middle East to play football.
On his personal Twitter page, Romano wrote: “The agreement between Neymar Jr. and Al-Hilal is reaching the final stages. It is not finished yet, but the parties are close to an agreement.”
Earlier, Romano himself also reported that Al-Hilal had sent Neymar a huge offer, although the specific number was not specified. The star born in 1992 was intrigued by what was offered and wanted to quickly part ways with PSG. The representative of Saudi Arabia will pay PSG 90 million euros for the transfer fee.
Meanwhile, the famous French newspaper L’Équipe confirmed Neymar had agreed to sign a two-year contract with Al-Hilal, pocketing a total of 160 million euros. Thus, this is a much larger number than the salary of 40 million euros per season that Neymar is receiving at PSG.
A few days ago, the press reported that Neymar wanted to leave PSG in the summer of 2023. The former Barca star is said to have received a notice from coach Luis Enrique that he is no longer in the plans of PSG. The best way for star Neymar to have the opportunity to play more is to find a new destination.
There have been many speculations about Neymar’s return to Barca, especially when the striker accepted a 3/4 salary reduction. However, the latest move shows that Neymar is closer to Al-Hilal than ever.
In the summer of 2023, Al-Hilal spent 178 million euros to recruit 4 European stars including Malcom, Ruben Neves, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Kalidou Koulibaly. Last night, Al-Hilal finished 1-2 against Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr in the 2023 Arab Club Champions Cup final.
