Al-Hilal, the club owned by the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund, was very determined to recruit Lionel Messi after the Argentine striker refused to extend his contract with PSG. Al-Hilal offered a bigger salary than Cristiano Ronaldo and even sent a plane to Paris to pick it up, but in the end, the deal fell through. Instead of going to Asia, Messi chose to go to Inter Miami (MLS).
Missing Messi, Al-Hilal turned to Neymar. According to CBS Sports, Al-Hilal sent a representative to Paris to negotiate with Neymar. The club hopes to reach a personal agreement with the Brazil captain before negotiating a transfer fee with PSG.
If he agrees to come to Al-Hilal, Neymar will receive the same treatment as Ronaldo at Al-Nassr, 171 million pounds/year. This salary is 5 times higher than what Neymar is receiving at PSG, enough for the 31-year-old striker to consider going to Asia to play.
In fact, Neymar is no longer interested in Paris after his close friend Messi left. Neymar’s position at PSG is no longer the same as before the French team’s BLD no longer wants to hold on to him. According to L’Equipe, PSG will listen to all offers for Neymar this summer transfer window.
Currently Neymar is also receiving interest from MU, Chelsea and Newcastle. If moving to the Premier League, Neymar will enjoy a high salary, of course it is difficult to compare to what Al-Hilal offers, but he still plays at the top level.
