The pressure on the Brazilian star is now great, but Neymar is still quite calm. In a statement on CazeTV, the former Barcelona player revealed his future: “I hope to play in the next season at PSG, I have a contract with the host club. So far, no one has told me. whatever”.
“I’m extremely calm even when I don’t receive love from the fans. Love or hate, I stay at PSG.”
Neymar’s last season was ended by an ankle injury in February that required surgery after suffering a similar problem at the 2022 World Cup.
According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea are keen to sign Neymar if he decides to leave Ligue 1. Neymar’s contract in Paris is due to expire in 2025 but he has the option of extending it for another year.
New PSG coach Luis Enrique has worked with Neymar at Barca before. Together they won the historic treble, including the La Liga title, the Copa del Rey and the Champions League in Enrique’s first season.
Although Neymar may want to stay and work with coach Enrique for a second time, PSG’s leaders do not seem to want the striker to stay, due to income problems.
