Today will be a special day for Kylian Mbappe as he leaves PSG and plays for his new team. But it was a completely unexpected landing.
The relationship between PSG and Mbappe is as tight as a string. President Nasser Al-Khelaifi also issued an ultimatum asking Mbappe to extend his contract or it will be sold this summer. In the midst of a tumultuous future, Mbappe is still happy on a two-day holiday in Cameroon.
This is the first time Mbappe has visited his hometown (Mbappé’s father is of Cameroonian origin). Accompanying the 24-year-old striker was Joakim Noah, son of French tennis legend Yannick Noah (also a native of Cameroon). Today (July 7), Mbappe will visit a school in Yaounde, which was built by the French striker’s charity fund.

Mbappe’s next activity is meeting the Prime Minister of Cameroon, Joseph Dion Ngute. After that, the French striker will participate in a friendly match with Vent d’Etoudi, a team in the Cameroon Second Division led by Yannick Noah as chairman of the board.
“Recently, the club was unable to organize matches and the stadium was in poor condition. I was offered the honorary presidency and I accepted,” said 1983 champion Roland Garros. Mbappe’s visit to Cameroon will end tomorrow with the final destination of Djebale island located off the coast of Douala, the economic capital of Cameroon. This is the village where Wilfried Mbappe, Mbappe’s father, was born and raised.
