The Mitsubishi pickup truck sports a distinctive wrap inspired by “condensed lava rock,” enveloping the bodywork, side windows, and lighting elements. This design gives it the appearance of a rugged military vehicle, further accentuated by the presence of the Ralliart logo, showcasing Mitsubishi’s rich motorsport heritage.
Despite its camouflage, the design of the new model is discernible, featuring split headlights, a boxy grille, and robust ribs with sculpted fenders.
Moreover, this concept model is outfitted with mud terrain tires, a tubular structure in the rear housing two spare wheels, a snorkel for enhanced water fording capability, retractable steps for easier access, and extended fenders for a more aggressive stance.
While Mitsubishi has not disclosed specific vehicle specifications, it is speculated that the next-generation Triton pickup may utilize a revised version of the Navara’s ladder chassis and feature a diesel powertrain.
The Mitsubishi XRT Concept will be displayed at the 2023 Bangkok International Motor Show from March 21 to April 2. It will be available in Thailand in 2023, followed by release in other global markets.
